I had this exact same problem. I couldnÆt play for more than 5 minutes for a week while my wife could play her account without problem. After a week of me having this problem she started having the same problem (we are both hooked up through the same router). I was able to solve the issue by purchasing a new router. I had a 4 port linksys and bought a new Microsoft wireless router (it does have 4 ports in the back if you donÆt have a wireless card). I tried everything I knew and even involved my internet providerÆs tech support. One would assume that the old router was going bad but Eve was the only place we were having problems. I could go anywhere else and play other internet games without problems. I involved the Eve support team and they are passing along my info to their server team to see if any recent upgrades are causing the problem. I would suggest sending in a petition through the Eve website support page, if you do attach the following:
1. Run the DirectX diagnostics tool: Press 'Start' and select 'run'.
Type dxdiag and hit enter. When you do this, a window will pop up.
2. Click the "Save All Information" button that's located in its lower right
corner.
3. Then attach the file to the e-mail...

Also, To see if you can get through to their servers, please do the following:
1.Press "Start" and select run. Write 'cmd'
2.Write ôtracert 166.63.217.6 >traceroute.txtö and wait for the process to finish.
3.Attach the traceroute file to this email and send to them.

This will help them diagnose the problem a bit easier. Hopefully this helps you as I have seen many posts recently relating to the same problem. I know not everyone has the extra cash lying around to buy a new router but I do and hadnÆt had a problem since I installed it.
